Apple CEO Tim Cook on the most important lesson he learned from Steve Jobs

Apple CEO Tim Cook has always spoken about the important role co-founder Steve Jobs played in his career. In a recent interview, Cook spoke about the life lessons Jobs had imparted and the one that stood out the most.
‘The joy is in the journey’
Cook said that he always “used to to think about the next thing, and always sort of put off the happiness until the next thing occurs.” The next thing, Cook said, that never occurs. Jobs, said the Apple CEO, taught him that “the joy is in the journey.”
In an earlier interview, Cook had said that Jobs was the “best teacher I ever had, by far,” before adding, “those teachings live on, not just in me, in a whole bunch of people who are at Apple.”
Meanwhile, Cook recently wrote to a 17-year-old boy from Maharashtra. Smit Metha, who is from Maharashtra, had a bad fall when he was out with his friends on a trek to Lonavla. Metha fell down the valley and didn’t have his iPhone with him. He broke his ankles but was luckily wearing his Apple Watch Series 7. He decided to write to Apple CEO Tim Cook and narrated his story in an email. Much to his surprise Cook replied to his email and wrote,“Smit,

I’m so glad you are on the road to recovery. It sounds like a terrible accident. Thanks so much for sharing your story with us.

I wish you a full and speedy recovery.

Best,

Tim”
